AQ-13 (2HCl)
CAS:
AQ-13 is a quinoline derivative that inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. AQ-13 is an inhibitor of the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) that is involved in the production of prostaglandins, which are proinflammatory molecules. The drug has been shown to have anti-inflammatory potency in vitro against LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells as well as macrophage-like cells derived from humans. In vivo, AQ-13 was shown to be effective in reducing inflammation caused by infection with the bacterial agent Pullorum or Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. This drug has also been shown to inhibit COX-2 activity in humans. Structural analogs of this drug include celecoxib and rofecoxib, which are used for pain relief and prevention of arthritis respectively.
Purity:Min. 95%
