DSPC-D4 is a potent and selective inhibitor of ion channels. It has been shown to inhibit the activation of voltage-gated sodium channels and potassium channels, as well as ligand-gated ion channels such as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. DSPC-D4 also inhibits the binding of peptides and antibodies to their corresponding receptors. DSPC-D4 is a liposome composed of 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC) covalently linked to d70 distearoylphosphatidylcholine (DSPC) by a disulfide bond. This reagent is used in research for the study of protein interactions, such as those between therapeutic proteins and their specific target receptors.
