Analysis was performed on plasma samples from healthy volunteers who were administered either 2 mg or 10 mg doses of quetiapine by intravenous injection. Concentrations were calculated and compared to those found in patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder who had been given oral doses of 300 mg per day for four weeks, yielding a therapeutic plasma concentration range from 100 to 300 ng/mL.
