CAS:
8-Deoxygartanin is a xanthone that has been shown to have cytotoxic and apoptotic effects in vitro. It has also been shown to inhibit cancer cells and induce cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase. 8-Deoxygartanin is found in extracts of the acetic acid extract of the leaves of Garcinia dulcis (gac). In toxicity studies, it was shown to cause oxidative injury in rats, which may be due to its ability to induce glutamate pyruvate transaminase. It is thought that 8-deoxygartanin inhibits cancer cells by activating p65 and inducing mitochondrial membrane depolarization and mitochondrial membrane potential. The effective dose for 8-deoxygartanin appears to be between 100 and 200 milligrams per kilogram, with antioxidative properties.
Purity:Min. 95%Ref: IN-DA00CHKX
