CAS 3375-31-3
:Palladium diacetate
Description:
Palladium diacetate, with the CAS number 3375-31-3, is a coordination compound of palladium that features two acetate ligands coordinated to a palladium center. It typically appears as a yellow to greenish solid and is soluble in organic solvents such as acetone and methanol. This compound is notable for its role as a catalyst in various organic reactions, particularly in cross-coupling reactions like the Suzuki and Heck reactions, which are essential in the synthesis of complex organic molecules. Palladium diacetate is also used in the preparation of palladium nanoparticles and in the field of materials science. The compound is sensitive to air and moisture, which can affect its stability and reactivity. As with many palladium compounds, it should be handled with care due to potential toxicity and environmental concerns. Overall, palladium diacetate is a valuable reagent in synthetic organic chemistry, facilitating the formation of carbon-carbon bonds and contributing to advancements in chemical synthesis.

CAS:
Palladium acetate monomer (Pd(OAc)2) is a palladium compound that is used as an oxidation catalyst in organic synthesis. Palladium acetate monomer has been shown to catalyze the conversion of trifluoroacetic acid to cyclohexene oxide with a high degree of selectivity. It also forms stable complexes with nitrogen atoms, such as ammonia and amines. The stability of these complexes can be increased by adding sodium carbonate or plasma mass spectrometry. Palladium acetate monomer is also used to convert HIV-1 reverse transcriptase into a non-infectious form that cannot replicate the virus. Palladium acetate monomer binds to the Mcl-1 protein and activates caspase 3, which leads to cell death.
Formula:C4H6O4PdPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:224.51 g/mol
