Flunisolide is a corticosteroid that relieves the symptoms of allergy, such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose. It also reduces levels of cortisol in the blood and may be used to treat asthma. Flunisolide is rapidly absorbed through the nasal mucosa and has been shown effective in vitro at inhibiting allergic reactions.
