CAS:Controlled Product1-(4-Methoxybenzyl)-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid (MBQCA) is a cholinergic drug that has been shown to effectively reduce the viscosity of liquid in the gastrointestinal tract. MBQCA inhibits fatty acid synthesis and acetylcholine release from hepg2 cells. MBQCA also binds to receptors for acetylcholine and other neurotransmitters, inhibiting the production of these molecules by binding to the cell membrane. It is possible that MBQCA may be used as a treatment for gastrointestinal disorders such as chronic exposure or hepg2 cells, which are caused by a lack of acetylcholine.
A study on wild-type mice showed that MBQCA reduced the viscosity of liquid in their intestinal tract. The study also found that MBQCA inhibited fatty acid synthesis and acetylcholine release from hepg2 cellsFormula:C18H15NO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:309.32 g/mol
