4-Methyl-4-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride (MCDA) is a polymeric matrix that is used as the epoxy resin. MCDA has high resistance to heat and chemicals and is soluble in organic solvents. This compound has been shown to be a good viscosity modifier for polycarboxylic acids and fatty acids. MCDA can be modified with potassium dichromate, boron nitride, or other modifiers to produce different structures.
