It is a yellowish crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 568.7 and chemical formula C19H24N2O4. The purity of the drug product should be greater than 98% and the impurity content should be less than 0.1%. 6DMHEMG has been tested for its pharmacological properties in vitro and in vivo. 6DMHEMG is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, but not as potent as etoricoxib. This metabolite is not listed in the current edition of the U.S. Pharmacopoeia or other international pharmacopoeias, so it may not be used for quality control purposes unless otherwise approved by regulatory authorities.br>br>
