CAS:Dinoprostone-related compound C is a synthetic prostaglandin E2 analog. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and infarction. Dinoprostone-related compound C inhibits the production of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) in the lungs, which prevents blood clotting by preventing the conversion of plasminogen to tPA, an important step in blood coagulation. Dinoprostone-related compound C also decreases blood pressure by inhibiting the production of angiotensin II.
