    Trestolone is a synthetic, non-steroidal hormone with potent androgenic effects. It has been studied in clinical trials for the treatment of bowel disease, but its use is limited by toxicity studies that show that trestolone can cause liver damage. Trestolone has been shown to inhibit the terminal half-life of other drugs, such as cyclosporin A and prednisolone. Trestolone also has an inhibitory effect on growth factor activity in vitro.
