CAS:Controlled Product
Cyanocobalamin-b-carboxylic acid is a synthetic form of vitamin B12 that has been developed for use in assays. It is a constant, stable form of the vitamin that can be synthesized in high purity and at low cost. Cyanocobalamin-b-carboxylic acid has been shown to react with alpha-carbon resonances, which are characteristic of carboxylate groups in proteins. This interaction is reversible and has been used to purify a number of proteins by immobilizing them on an insoluble support matrix. Cyanocobalamin-b-carboxylic acid also has the ability to interact with analogues, such as cobamamide, or other forms of vitamin B12. The thermodynamic stability constants for these interactions have been determined using kinetic methods and recombinant human corrinoid protein.
Formula:C63H87CoN13O15PPurity:Min. 95%Ref: 4Z-C-165010
