  • 2-(Trifluoromethyl)cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione

    CAS:
2-(Trifluoromethyl)cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione is a tranquilizer that is classified as an anxiolytic. It has been shown to have a protonated benzoquinone structure in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid. 2-(Trifluoromethyl)cyclohexa-2,5-diene-1,4-dione is metabolised by hydroxycarbazole to yield a hydroxymethyl derivative and a trifluoroacetoxy derivative. The metabolite with the highest concentration was the hydroxymethyl derivative. Benzenesulfinic acid also reacts with 2-(trifluoromethyl)cyclohexa-2,5-diene 1,4-dione to produce an adduct. The product of this reaction was found to be in equilibrium with other products and intermediate compounds. This
