CAS 39515-41-8
:Fenpropathrin
Description:
Fenpropathrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide known for its effectiveness against a wide range of pests. It is characterized by its ability to disrupt the nervous system of insects, leading to paralysis and death. Chemically, it is a derivative of pyrethrin, featuring a phenoxy group that enhances its insecticidal properties. Fenpropathrin is typically used in agricultural settings, particularly for crops like fruits and vegetables, and is valued for its low toxicity to mammals and birds compared to traditional insecticides. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a faint odor and is relatively stable under normal conditions. The substance is lipophilic, allowing it to penetrate insect cuticles effectively. However, it is important to note that fenpropathrin can be toxic to aquatic organisms, necessitating careful application to minimize environmental impact. Its use is regulated in many countries, and safety precautions are recommended to mitigate potential risks to human health and non-target species.

Fenpropathrin
CAS:Controlled ProductFenpropathrin is a chemical pesticide that belongs to the class of pyrethroids. It is used to control insects such as mosquitoes, flies, ants, and cockroaches. The symptoms of fenpropathrin exposure include irritation of the skin and eyes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, numbness at the site of contact, loss of appetite and weight loss. Fenpropathrin is also known to affect bacterial strain by inhibiting enzyme activities and reducing the activity of detoxification enzymes. Fenpropathrin has been shown to cause genotoxic activity in cardiac tissue in sublethal doses. This chemical can also be found in wastewater treatment systems where it causes an increase in surface methodology while decreasing p450 activity.
