CAS:2-Amino-4-fluorophenol is a synthetic chemical compound, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6 and TNFα. 2-Amino-4-fluorophenol also inhibits the activity of cytochrome P450 enzymes responsible for the activation of prodrugs, including cyclophosphamide. This drug is currently being investigated as an anti-cancer agent because it appears to be selective for cancer cells and has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation in vitro. 2-Amino-4-fluorophenol binds to the heme moiety of cytochrome P450 by coordination with two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom found in the heme group, which helps stabilize this complex.
