CAS:<p>Methyl 3,4-O-isopropylidene-b-L-erythro-pentopyranosid-2-ulose is a monosaccharide that has been synthesized using the Click chemistry. This compound is a fluorinated sugar and has been custom synthesized for the purpose of glycosylation. The synthesis of this compound was accomplished by first protecting the hydroxyl group with an acetate ester, followed by methylation of the hydroxyl group with dimethylchloromethylphosphonate.
