L-Leucine, L-leucyl-L-tryptophyl-

Description:
L-Leucine, L-leucyl-L-tryptophyl- is a dipeptide composed of the amino acids leucine and tryptophan. It is classified under the category of peptides, which are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds. This specific compound is notable for its role in protein synthesis and its potential influence on metabolic processes. L-Leucine itself is an essential branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) that plays a critical role in muscle protein synthesis and energy production, while tryptophan is a precursor for serotonin, an important neurotransmitter. The presence of both amino acids in this dipeptide suggests potential applications in nutrition and health, particularly in sports and exercise contexts. Additionally, the compound may exhibit unique biochemical properties due to the combination of these two amino acids, which could influence its solubility, stability, and biological activity. As with many peptides, its characteristics can be affected by factors such as pH, temperature, and the presence of other substances in solution.

  • H-Leu-Trp-Leu-OH

    CAS:
H-Leu-Trp-Leu-OH is a tryptophan protease that has been shown to have aminopeptidase activity. It can be used in the treatment of intestinal inflammation, as well as other conditions where it is desirable to reduce the concentration of amino acid precursors. The oxidation products of H-Leu-Trp-Leu-OH are antigenic and can be used for the detection of this enzyme in biological fluids. Hplc analysis can identify tripeptides formed by H-Leu-Trp-Leu-OH, which are then cleaved by other enzymes. This process creates a radioactive product that can be detected using radiation or microscopy. Immunoaffinity chromatography is also able to isolate H-Leu-Trp-Leu-OH from biological fluids. Monoclonal antibodies against this enzyme have been shown to inhibit ectoenzymes such as lipases and phospholip
