It blocks the activation of B cells by inhibiting the activation of T cells. 2-(2-(4-Methylpiperazin-1-yl)quinazolin-4-yl)acetamide also inhibits the production of cytokines, such as IL6 and IL10, which are important for B cell proliferation. This drug has been used as a research tool to study how B cells develop and function in various diseases such as AIDS, cancer, or autoimmune disorders.
