CAS:Tetraethylammonium hexafluorophosphate (TEAP) is an electrolyte that is used as a replacement for potassium hexafluorophosphate in the manufacture of polymer films. TEAP has been shown to be less toxic than KPF, and has been found to have high resistance and stability when used as an electrode material. The elimination rate of TEAP is dependent on its structural formula, with the elimination rate being slower for the tetramethylethylenediammonium salt. The activation energies for TEAP are much greater than those of KPF, which may account for its higher resistance to degradation.
