:AMOZ
Description:
AMOZ, or 3-amino-5-methyl-1,2,4-thiadiazole, is a chemical compound characterized by its unique structure that includes a thiadiazole ring, which contributes to its biological activity. It is primarily recognized for its use in agricultural applications, particularly as a fungicide and herbicide. The compound exhibits properties that allow it to inhibit certain enzymatic processes in target organisms, making it effective in controlling various plant pathogens. AMOZ is typically a solid at room temperature and is soluble in organic solvents, which facilitates its application in formulations. Its stability and reactivity can vary depending on environmental conditions, such as pH and temperature. Safety data indicates that, like many agrochemicals, it should be handled with care to minimize exposure risks to humans and non-target organisms. Regulatory assessments often evaluate its environmental impact and potential toxicity, ensuring that its use complies with safety standards. Overall, AMOZ is an important compound in the field of agrochemistry, contributing to crop protection strategies.

CAS:
AMOZ is an antimicrobial agent that can be used to detect nitrite ion. It is a monoclonal antibody against nitrite ion with a light signal. It is highly sensitive and has been shown to bind to the nitrite ion in a liquid matrix, which can be detected by LC-MS/MS. AMOZ has been shown to inhibit the growth of infectious bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. AMOZ also inhibits the activity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The molecular docking analysis was performed on AMOZ and its crystal structure showed that it binds to the active site of bacterial nitrate reductase, preventing electron transfer from NADH to NAD+. This results in inhibition of bacterial respiration and ATP synthesis, leading to cell death.
Formula:C8H15N3O3Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:201.22 g/mol
