1-Benzyl-1H-indazole
CAS:
1-Benzyl-1H-indazole is a potential anticancer agent. It inhibits the polymerase chain reaction in vitro and has been shown to reduce locomotor activity in vivo. 1-Benzyl-1H-indazole binds to the active site of human DNA polymerase, thereby inhibiting the enzyme's ability to synthesize DNA. The low potency of this agent makes it an unlikely candidate for use as a therapeutic drug. This drug has also been shown to induce squamous cell carcinoma in mice when applied topically, but not when injected intraperitoneally. Additionally, 1-benzyl-1H-indazole has been shown to be effective against systolic pressure and choroidal neovascularization by reducing nucleotide levels and oxidative injury, respectively. In vivo studies have demonstrated that 1-benzyl-1H-indazole inhibits cyclase activity and intracellular Ca2+ levels, and may be a path
Formula:C14H12N2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:208.26 g/mol
