4,4'-Dimethoxystilbene
CAS:4,4'-Dimethoxystilbene is a compound that is found in the labiatae family of plants. It has been shown to have estrogenic properties and may be effective in treating symptoms of menopause. 4,4'-Dimethoxystilbene has been shown to inhibit the transfer reactions of caffeine and as a result reduces the effect of caffeine on women. The hydroxyl group on 4,4'-dimethoxystilbene also prevents the formation of reactive oxygen species by decreasing oxidative stress. This compound is also used in skin care products due to its antioxidant properties.
