Muco-Inositol is a compound that is involved in the metabolism of glucose, lipid and protein. It can be synthesized from myo-inositol and plays an important role in the synthesis of phosphatidylinositols. Muco-Inositol has been shown to inhibit enzyme activities in a wild type strain of E. coli.
