CAS 51-41-2
:norepinephrine
Description:
Norepinephrine, also known as noradrenaline, is a catecholamine and a neurotransmitter that plays a crucial role in the body's response to stress and regulation of various physiological functions. It is synthesized from dopamine and is primarily produced in the adrenal medulla and certain neurons in the central nervous system. Norepinephrine acts on both alpha and beta-adrenergic receptors, influencing cardiovascular function by increasing heart rate and blood pressure. It is also involved in the modulation of mood, attention, and arousal. The chemical formula for norepinephrine is C8H11NO3, and it has a molecular weight of approximately 169.21 g/mol. In its pure form, norepinephrine is a colorless to pale yellow crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It is often used in medical settings, particularly in the treatment of hypotension and as a vasopressor agent. Due to its physiological significance, norepinephrine is also a subject of research in various fields, including pharmacology and neuroscience.

L-Noradrenaline, 98%
CAS:
L-Noradrenaline serves as an adrenergic neurotransmitter. It acts as demethylated precursor of epinephrine (adrenaline). It is also used to treat people having low blood pressure, as a sympathomimetic drug to treat people in vasodilatory shock states such as septic shock and neurogenic shock. CAS:
Norepinephrine is a hormone and neurotransmitter that is released by the adrenal medulla. It has vasoconstrictor and bronchodilator effects, as well as other actions such as increasing metabolic rate and blood pressure. Norepinephrine binds to β-adrenergic receptors on cells, causing them to release cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in response. cAMP activates protein kinase A, which phosphorylates proteins leading to increased cell activity. The binding of norepinephrine to β-adrenergic receptors also leads to the activation of voltage-dependent calcium channels and increased calcium ion permeability. This increase in intracellular calcium ions leads to muscle contraction and relaxation of smooth muscle in the lungs, uterus, stomach, intestines and bladder. Norepinephrine can be used in a luminescence immunoassay for the measurement of noradrenaline levels in human serum or plasma samples.
Formula:C8H11NO3Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:169.18 g/molL-Noradrenaline
