    <p>Homoterephalic acid is a polycarboxylic acid. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of tumors, and in clinical studies, it has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. Homoterephalic acid inhibits the growth of tumor cells by inhibiting the synthesis of l-glutamic acid. This compound also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) production.
