Cyclohexylmethyl)urea is also used for the treatment of restenosis after angioplasty and myocardial infarction. Cyclohexylmethyl)urea is administered intravenously and can be given as an injection or infusion. The drug must be given with a co-administered agent such as hydrochloric acid, which stabilizes cyclohexylmethyl)urea by converting it into its hydrochloride salt.
