CAS:Tiamulin is a sodium salt of tiamulin, which is an antibacterial agent. Tiamulin can be used in vitro to test the efficacy of antibiotics against bacteria. It has been shown that tiamulin inhibits protein synthesis and bacterial growth by binding to the ribosomal RNA molecule. Tiamulin also has a low toxicity profile in vivo and can be used to treat infectious diseases. Acute toxicities have been observed at higher doses, but are not significant when administered at the recommended therapeutic dose.
