CAS:<p>Deslorelin is a hormone that belongs to the class of gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs. It is used to induce ovulation and as a contraceptive in humans. Deslorelin binds to receptors on the surface of cells in the pituitary gland and inhibits secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). This causes an inhibition of ovarian activity, which leads to the cessation of ovulation.
