CAS:2-Bromoanisole is an organic compound that binds to the benzodiazepine receptor. It has been shown to bind to palladium complexes and is used in supercritical fluid extraction for chemical substances. 2-Bromoanisole has also been shown to have a thermal expansion coefficient of -0.0052 cm/mK, which makes it suitable for use in analytical chemistry as a calibration standard. 2-Bromoanisole is also a growth factor that can increase mitochondrial membrane potential in rat liver cells, while decreasing the second order rate constant. This chemical has been used in the synthesis of hydrogen bonds, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy studies have revealed its active methylene group and its hydrogen bond with chloride ions.
