Bradykinin

Description:
Bradykinin is a peptide that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, particularly in inflammation and blood pressure regulation. It is composed of nine amino acids, making it a nonapeptide, and is classified as a kinin. Bradykinin is known for its potent vasodilatory effects, which contribute to increased blood flow and reduced blood pressure. It acts primarily through the B2 receptor, although it can also interact with the B1 receptor under certain pathological conditions. The substance is produced from kininogen by the action of the enzyme kallikrein. In addition to its role in vasodilation, bradykinin is involved in pain signaling and the inflammatory response, often contributing to the sensation of pain and swelling during tissue injury. Its rapid degradation by enzymes such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) limits its duration of action in the body. Due to its significant biological effects, bradykinin is of interest in various medical research areas, including cardiovascular health and pain management.

  • Bradykinin (Human, Bovine, Rat, Mouse)

    CAS:

Bradykinin is a peptide hormone that is produced in the body by the kininase enzyme. It is an activator of ion channels and ligand for the G-protein coupled receptors B1, B2, and B3. Bradykinin is used as a research tool to study cell biology, pharmacology, and life science. It interacts with proteins such as erythrocyte protein band 4.4, alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor, alpha-bungarotoxin binding protein, beta-chain integrin receptor, and platelet membrane glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor. Bradykinin has been shown to inhibit the activity of bradykinin B1 receptor (Ki = 0.4 nM) and bradykinin B2 receptor (Ki = 0.6 nM).

  • Bradykinin

    CAS:

Bradykinin is a peptide that belongs to the class of natural compounds. It is a signal peptide, which is used in the regulation of various biological functions such as inflammation and pain. Bradykinin has been shown to have an anti-cancer effect on cancer tissues, with the highest potency observed in bone cancer. Bradykinin also causes an increase in eosinophil cationic protein, which can be measured in biological samples such as blood. This compound has been shown to have a variety of effects on enzyme activities and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for diseases such as congestive heart failure and chronic kidney disease. Bradykinin has low potency for inhibition of creatinine sulfate synthesis.
