    <p>Ethyl 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-ethoxy-4-oxazoleacetate is a synthetic estrogen that has been shown to be useful in the treatment of depression and haemorrhagic disorders. It has also been used in the treatment of hyperlipoproteinaemia (elevated cholesterol). Ethyl 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-ethoxy-4-oxazoleacetate is not active against bacterial infections. However, it may have a beneficial effect on lipoprotein metabolism, which could be due to its ability to modulate lipid transport proteins. This drug has been shown to increase HDL cholesterol levels and decrease LDL cholesterol levels.</p>
