:8-chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-4H-imidazo[1,5-a][1,4]benzodiazepin-4-ol
Description:
8-Chloro-6-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-methyl-4H-imidazo[1,5-a][1,4]benzodiazepin-4-ol is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of benzodiazepines, which are known for their psychoactive properties. This particular compound features a complex fused ring structure that includes an imidazole and benzodiazepine moiety, contributing to its potential biological activity. The presence of chlorine and fluorine substituents on the aromatic rings can influence the compound's pharmacological profile, including its potency and selectivity for specific receptors. The hydroxyl group at the 4-position may also play a role in its solubility and reactivity. Typically, such compounds are investigated for their effects on the central nervous system, including anxiolytic, sedative, or anticonvulsant properties. However, detailed studies on its specific biological effects, mechanisms of action, and therapeutic applications would be necessary to fully understand its potential uses in medicinal chemistry. As with many synthetic compounds, safety and toxicity profiles are crucial for determining their viability in clinical settings.

CAS:Controlled Product
Midazolam is a benzodiazepine that is used for the treatment of anxiety, insomnia, and epilepsy. It is a p-gp substrate and is transported by this transporter protein from the inside to the outside of cells. 4-Hydroxy midazolam (4OHM) is an active metabolite of midazolam that has dna binding activity. The drug exhibits matrix effects on human pharmacokinetics and metabolism. 4OHM binds to DNA in a sequence-specific manner, which inhibits transcription and replication. This compound also inhibits hepatic enzymes such as CYP3A4, CYP2B6, CYP2C9, and CYP2C19. The analytical method used to detect 4OHM in blood samples is HPLC with UV detection at 254 nm. This active form has been shown to be biotransformed into 1'-hydroxy midazolam (1'OHM).
Formula:C18H13ClFN3OPurity:Min. 95 Area-%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:341.77 g/mol4-Hydroxy Midazolam (100 μg/mL in methanol)
