:Geraniin
Description:
Geraniin is a naturally occurring polyphenolic compound primarily found in various plants, particularly in the family of Geraniaceae. It is recognized for its potential health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. Geraniin is a type of ellagitannin, which means it is derived from the condensation of ellagic acid and glucose. This compound is often studied for its role in traditional medicine and its potential applications in nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Geraniin exhibits solubility in organic solvents and has a relatively complex structure, which contributes to its biological activity. Its chemical properties include the ability to form complexes with metal ions and interact with various biological macromolecules, making it a subject of interest in both medicinal chemistry and natural product research. Additionally, ongoing studies are exploring its effects on various health conditions, including cancer and metabolic disorders, highlighting its significance in the field of natural product chemistry.

CAS:Controlled Product
Geraniin is a natural compound that has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. Geraniin has been shown to inhibit the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity of collagenase in vitro, suggesting that it may be a potential treatment for diseases caused by MMPs such as arthritis. Geraniin also inhibits the production of cytokines such as growth factor-β1 and interleukin-1β. It was also found to control the expression of c-Jun in both human cells and a model system. The administration of geraniin showed no toxicity in rats at doses up to 1,000 mg/kg body weight.
Formula:C41H28O27Purity:Min. 98 Area-%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:952.64 g/mol
