Pomaglumetad methionil hydrochloride is a peptide that is an activator of the GABA receptor. It is an inhibitor of voltage-gated ion channels, which are responsible for the generation and propagation of action potentials in neurons. Pomaglumetad methionil hydrochloride is also a ligand for the GABA receptor and has been shown to inhibit protein interactions with a number of receptors, including the NMDA receptor, glycine receptor, and serotonin receptors. This drug has not been shown to have any pharmacological effects.
