CAS:Sodium p-toluenesulfonate is a chemical compound that is used as an additive for industrial and household cleaning products. It has minimal toxicity and is compatible with most chemicals, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications. Sodium p-toluenesulfonate can be used in wastewater treatment because of its ability to reduce the concentration of benzalkonium chloride and sodium citrate, which are common components of industrial detergents. This chemical also has electrochemical properties that allow it to be used as a fluorescence probe for the detection of anhydrous sodium. In addition, this compound can be combined with human serum or other proteins to form a surface methodology that can be used in Langmuir adsorption isotherms.
