    <p>O-(Tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)hydroxylamine (THPHA) is an HDAC inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. THPHA binds to the active site of histone deacetylase and prevents the transfer of acetyl groups from acetyl coenzyme A to histones, thereby decreasing the expression of genes associated with collagen production. This chemical stabilizes the cell's cytoskeleton, which in turn prevents cell migration and invasion. THPHA also induces apoptosis in fibrosarcoma cells by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis, leading to a decrease in tumor size.</p>
