Enoxaparin sodium is a low molecular weight heparin that is used to prevent blood clots and reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack in patients with atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis, or pulmonary embolism. It is also used to treat heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) caused by an immune response to heparin.
