:Cyhalothrin
Description:
Cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide known for its effectiveness against a wide range of pests. It is characterized by its ability to disrupt the normal functioning of the nervous system in insects, leading to paralysis and death. Cyhalothrin is typically a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a faint odor, and it is relatively stable under various environmental conditions. Its chemical structure includes a cyano group and a cyclopropane ring, contributing to its potency and selectivity. This compound is lipophilic, allowing it to penetrate insect cuticles effectively. Cyhalothrin is used in agricultural applications, including crops and livestock, as well as in residential pest control. While it is generally considered safe for humans and non-target organisms when used according to guidelines, it can be toxic to aquatic life and beneficial insects. Proper handling and application are essential to minimize environmental impact and ensure safety. As with all pesticides, adherence to regulatory guidelines and safety practices is crucial when using cyhalothrin.

It has been shown to be effective against many bacterial strains, including those with high resistance. Cyhalothrin has been found to cause liver lesions in rats and mice when given in doses exceeding 100 mg/kg/day for two weeks or more. Chronic exposure to cyhalothrin may result in increased activity of cytochrome P450, an enzyme that metabolizes xenobiotics in the liver.</p>Formula:C23H19ClF3NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:449.85 g/mol
