:Beclomethasone 21-propionate
Description:
Beclomethasone 21-propionate is a synthetic corticosteroid primarily used for its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It is commonly employed in the treatment of various allergic and inflammatory conditions, particularly in respiratory diseases such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. The substance is characterized by its ability to reduce inflammation and suppress the immune response, making it effective in managing symptoms associated with these conditions. Beclomethasone 21-propionate is typically administered via inhalation or topical formulations, allowing for localized effects with minimal systemic absorption. Its chemical structure features a steroid backbone, which is essential for its biological activity, and it is known for its relatively high potency and low systemic side effects compared to other corticosteroids. The compound is generally well-tolerated, although potential side effects may include local irritation or, in rare cases, systemic effects with prolonged use. Overall, Beclomethasone 21-propionate is a valuable therapeutic agent in the management of inflammatory disorders.

CAS:Controlled Product
Beclomethasone 21-propionate is a synthetic, inhaled glucocorticoid that is used to treat bronchial asthma and other respiratory disorders. It is the active metabolite of beclomethasone dipropionate. The mechanism of action of beclomethasone 21-propionate is not fully understood. It has been shown to inhibit microbial biotransformation in vitro by epoxidation, but this may not be its primary mechanism of action. Beclomethasone 21-propionate has been shown to inhibit hydrogen chloride-dependent microbial transformation in vitro by both epoxide and chloride mechanisms. This drug also has been shown to inhibit microbial transformation in vitro by dipropionate and chloride mechanisms. Beclomethasone 21-propionate does not have a significant effect on drug metabolism or drug clearance from the body.
Formula:C25H33ClO6Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:464.98 g/mol
