:Pyrimidine, 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-1-methyl-2-[(1E)-2-(3-methyl-2-thienyl)ethenyl]-, 2-hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylate (1:1)
Description:
Pyrimidine, 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-1-methyl-2-[(1E)-2-(3-methyl-2-thienyl)ethenyl]-, 2-hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylate (1:1) is a complex organic compound characterized by its pyrimidine ring structure, which is a six-membered aromatic ring containing two nitrogen atoms at positions 1 and 3. This compound features a tetrahydro derivative, indicating the presence of a saturated ring system, and a methyl group at the 1-position, contributing to its overall stability and reactivity. The presence of a thienyl group suggests potential for unique electronic properties and interactions due to the sulfur atom in the thiophene ring. Additionally, the compound contains a propanetricarboxylate moiety, which introduces multiple carboxylic acid functionalities, enhancing its potential for hydrogen bonding and solubility in polar solvents. The overall structure suggests potential applications in pharmaceuticals or agrochemicals, where such heterocyclic compounds are often explored for their biological activity. However, specific properties such as solubility, melting point, and reactivity would require empirical data for precise characterization.

CAS:
Morantel citrate is a drug that belongs to the class of anthelmintics. It works by inhibiting the membrane system in nematodes, which leads to paralysis and death. Morantel citrate has been shown to be effective against Ostertagia ostertagi, Ancylostoma caninum, and Uncinaria stenocephala. Morantel citrate is not active against nematode species that are resistant to anthelmintics (e.g., Ascaris suum). The oral dose of morantel citrate for cattle is 0.5-1 mg/kg and for sheep 1-2 mg/kg body weight. This drug is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and only about 10% of the dose reaches systemic circulation. Morantel citrate is metabolized in the liver by cytochrome P450 enzymes and excreted in urine as metabolites or unchanged drug.
Formula:C12H16N2S·C6H8O7Purity:Min. 95 Area-%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:412.46 g/mol
