Applications 2-((Hexyl-d4)oxy)tetrahydropyran is a proposed intermediate in the synthesis of 1-Octen-3-one-D4 (O239252), a labelled analogue of 1-Octen-3-one (O239250). 1-Octen-3-one is a volatile unsaturated ketone that has a strong mushroom-like odour. 1-Octen-3-one is also a flavour component of the Agaricus bisporus mushroom and is used in a variety of food products.
