:5-Bromo-6-nitro-1H-indazole
Description:
5-Bromo-6-nitro-1H-indazole is a chemical compound characterized by its indazole core, which is a bicyclic structure containing a five-membered ring fused to a six-membered ring. The presence of a bromine atom at the 5-position and a nitro group at the 6-position contributes to its unique reactivity and properties. This compound is typically a solid at room temperature and may exhibit yellow to orange coloration due to the nitro group. It is often used in research and development, particularly in the fields of medicinal chemistry and materials science, due to its potential biological activity and ability to serve as a building block for more complex molecules. The compound's solubility can vary depending on the solvent, and it may exhibit moderate stability under standard conditions. As with many halogenated and nitro compounds, it is important to handle 5-Bromo-6-nitro-1H-indazole with care, as it may pose health and environmental risks.

CAS:
5-Bromo-6-nitro-1H-indazole is a potent inhibitor of ATP binding to the ATP binding site on kinases. It has shown antiproliferative activities in prostate cancer cells, PC3 cells and in vivo models. 5-Bromo-6-nitro-1H-indazole has been shown to inhibit the activity of protein kinases with micromolar potency. The IC50 values obtained from experiments are in the micromolar range for different kinases, including casein kinase II (CKII), cAMP dependent protein kinase A (PKA), and mitogen activated protein kinase 1 (MAPK1). The inhibition of these three kinases was found to be competitive and reversible. 5BINI also inhibits phosphorylation of casein by CKII, which is an important mechanism for regulating the activity of this enzyme.
Formula:C7H4BrN3O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:242.03 g/mol
