It is a reconstituted, reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method that uses a hydroxyl group as a chemical modifier. This validation study was conducted to compare the 6α-oxycodol assay with two other methods, LC-MS/MS and GC/MS, which are currently used to measure 6α-oxycodol in urine. The results of this study showed that the RP-HPLC method was the most accurate and precise.
