Diprophylline
CAS:Controlled ProductDiprophylline is a drug that is used to treat asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other respiratory diseases. It has shown anti-inflammatory properties in animal studies. Diprophylline also inhibits the production of prostaglandins in the lungs of animals. This may be due to its ability to act as a potent antagonist on histamine and serotonin receptors. Diprophylline has been shown to have some toxicity in fetal bovine serum and human serum, although it is less toxic than other drugs such as trifluoroacetic acid. It has been proposed that diprophylline may have therapeutic effects for bowel disease by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines.
