:Holmium
Description:
Holmium is a rare earth element with the atomic number 67 and is represented by the symbol Ho. It is a silvery-white metal that is part of the lanthanide series in the periodic table. Holmium is known for its relatively high magnetic susceptibility and is one of the most magnetic of all the elements. It has a melting point of approximately 1,474 degrees Celsius and a boiling point around 2,545 degrees Celsius. Holmium is relatively stable in air and does not tarnish easily, although it can react with water and acids. It is primarily used in various applications, including nuclear reactors, lasers, and as a dopant in certain types of glass and ceramics to enhance their optical properties.
