Dichlorovinyl-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane is a potent inhibitor of lipid biosynthesis, which has been shown to have sublethal effects on invertebrates. It also inhibits the synthesis of c1-c4 haloalkyl compounds, which are used as control agents for insects.
