:Teneligliptin
Description:
Teneligliptin is an oral antihyperglycemic agent belonging to the class of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, primarily used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the DPP-4 enzyme, which leads to increased levels of incretin hormones, thereby enhancing insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. This results in improved glycemic control. Teneligliptin is characterized by its chemical formula, which includes a specific arrangement of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms, contributing to its pharmacological properties. It is typically administered orally and is known for its favorable safety profile and low risk of hypoglycemia when used alone. Additionally, Teneligliptin has been noted for its potential benefits in weight management and cardiovascular health in diabetic patients. As with any medication, it is essential to consider potential side effects and contraindications, and it should be used under medical supervision.

CAS:
Teneligliptin is a selective inhibitor of the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) transporter and is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Teneligliptin has been shown to reduce postprandial blood glucose levels by inhibiting DPP-IV, which is an enzyme that degrades glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1). It also inhibits the activity of dpp-4, which is an enzyme that inactivates GLP-1. The combination therapy group had significantly lower HbA1c levels than the control analysis group in a study of teneligliptin and metformin. Teneligliptin has also been shown to have a long half life and low risk of drug interactions in human pharmacokinetic studies.
Formula:C22H30N6OSPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:426.58 g/mol
