Kauniolide
CAS:Kauniolide, from chrysanthemum, modulates body signals with anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-microbial properties.Formula:C15H18O2Purity:98%Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:230.3Kauniolide
CAS:
Kauniolide is a sesquiterpene lactone that is isolated from the roots of Costus speciosus. It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties and may be used for the treatment of cancer. Kauniolide blocks membrane transporters and induces membrane accumulation of cholesterol, which leads to cell death. It also inhibits the metabolism of cholesterol in cancer cells, leading to an increase in cellular levels of cholesterol and inhibition of protein synthesis. Kauniolide has been shown to be active against leukemia and breast cancer cells. Its mechanism of action is not well understood but it is postulated that its stereoselective nature may play a role in its anticancer effects.
Formula:C15H18O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:230.3 g/mol
