CAS:N-(5-Bromoquinoxalin-6-yl)thiourea is a drug used in ophthalmic preparations. It is also used as a reagent to produce the 5-bromoquinoxaline derivative. This compound has been shown to be useful in the profiling of flow rates and profiles, and for the detection of ethylene in mass spectra. N-(5-Bromoquinoxalin-6-yl)thiourea is an impurity found in commercially available maleate. The compound can also be detected by GC/MS and LC/MS, but it cannot be quantified due to its low concentration. Recoveries are typically between 95% and 98%.
