CAS:
2-Acetyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrole is a metabolite of the amino acid gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) that has been shown to have inhibitory effects on aminotransferase activity in rat liver. The inhibitory effect of 2-acetyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrole on aminotransferase activity is competitive with respect to the substrate and is reversible. The inhibition of aminotransferase activity by 2-acetyl-4,5-dihydro-3H pyrrole can be prevented by coadministration of ethyl decanoate, an inhibitor of GABA transaminase. This finding suggests that 2 acetyl 4,5 dihydro 3H pyrrole may act as a precursor for GABA biosynthesis.
Formula:C6H9NOPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Clear LiquidMolecular weight:111.14 g/molRef: 4Z-P-244002
